RED TENT Najia Goddess Nights
Najia has Goddess Nights every month which start with a vegan potluck and show The highlight of the evening
is devoted to learning dance in unexpected ways. Working with ancient ritual dance concepts will allow you
to experience the inner pure meaning behind the movements as well as the hidden transformational aspects of
sacred dance. Most women are intuitively drawn to the healing feminine energy of bellydance and feel
empowered, at peace, appreciative and respectful of the divine feminine within themselves.
Most Goddess Nights are from 7:30-9:30 on 2nd Fridays of the month

Weekend Workshops
Learn inspiring classic choreographies, Egyptian Saaid folkore dance and traveling steps with veil.
Najia has exciting new workshops every month for those who cannot take her nightly classes.
After the workshop we usually have a get together at a nearby cafe so allow time if you would
like to join in. ~Same weekend as our Goddess Nights.

Najia Goddess Retreats
Najia has has been known to nourish more than the soul through her dance. She teaches women how to embrace
beauty through dancing in nature , cooking organically, and home made beauty treatments. Join her in 11
lush acres on the river in beautiful Mount airy section of Philadelphia.
Aszmara Workshops & Show
"Dance is emotion in motion" describes accurately the quality of Aszmara’s dance. She is one of New York’s
best interpreters of the ethnic dance. She impresses through her expressive stage presence and interprets
the music with her own blend of modern and ethnic Arab and Turkish dance. The New York Times describes her
dance as "intense".
Throughout her over three decade career, performances range from cabaret entertainment to full concert
stage creating themed concert events, folkloric and innovative dances. Her teaching style is highly
energetic and as a master teacher she teaches master and beginner’s classes with the same enthusiasm.
Her workshops, thus, are highly appreciated both by professional dancers as well as by beginners.
Miramar Workshop and Show
Miramar is a Middle Eastern dance artist of American descent. She has been studying and
researching Middle Eastern Dance for over thirty years and began teaching in 1989 in the
Winchester, VA area. She has performed in over 1000 venues including: the Astor Restaurant
(D.C.), Sandal’s Resort in Nassau, Bahamas and at the Kon Tiki Restaurant in Bonaire
(the Caribbean). She has studied Middle Eastern Dance in both Turkey and Egypt. Miramar
completed her master’s degree in Arts Administration from Shenandoah University in 2005,
and received the Research Excellence Award for her thesis on codes of conduct in Middle
Eastern Dance. She is known for her breath-taking sword dance, exciting Shamadon, her
expertise in veil dancing, fan, Isis Wings, double cane, and folkloric presentations
including Egyptian beledi, saidi and Hagallah.
Elena Lentini Workshops & Show
Elena Lentini lade her debut into Middle Eastern dance in the late sixties "Greektown" of Manhattan club scene.
Even in those early days she was recognized for her lyrical grace .as a principle dancer in the esteemed Ibrahim
Farrah dance company she performed at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall among many others.Between
1979 and 1981 she toured the Middle East , including Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, and
Bahrain.Upon her return she taught and performed across the United States and Canada. In 1988 Elena formed the
Caravanseria Dance Theatre.Creating ensemble pieces that expressed the myths, rituals, and folklore of oriental
civilizations of the Near East. Elena is also known for pioneering the incorporation of Spanish dance with
traditional Middle Eastern style.
Sahra Saeeda Certification
Najia has made a number of exciting workshops available to the Philadelphia with world renowned authority
Sahra Saeeda. Sahra is one of the most sought after authorities on Middle Eastern Dance in the world and
has trained many of the Bellydance Superstars. She regularly tour five continents yearly imparting her
knowlege and skill to the bellydance community. Sahra has it all. Credentials, experience, incredible
flawless technique, impeccably clear teaching style, and she is a kind and giving instructor who is able
to satisify all levels of dance.
